At Stuqy, we believe learning should be fun, not creepy. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. No legal jargon—just straight talk.
What We Collect
When You Sign Up
You can create an account with email and password, or use Google Sign-In. We collect:
- Your name — to personalize your profile
- Your email — to identify your account and send important updates
- Your profile picture — from Google if you sign in that way, otherwise optional
What You Create
All the decks and flashcards you create are stored so you can access them anytime. If you share a deck publicly, other users can see and duplicate it.
Your Learning Progress
We track your study sessions, streaks, and progress through each deck's 7-step journey. This powers the spaced repetition algorithm and lets you see how far you've come.
Optional: Your School
During onboarding, you can tell us where you study. This helps us suggest friends from your school. It's completely optional.
What We Don't Do
- Sell your data — Never. Your info stays with us.
- Read your flashcards for ads — We don't scan your content to target you.
- Share with third parties for marketing — Your email isn't going to any spam lists.
Third-Party Services
We use a few services to make Stuqy work:
- Google — for optional authentication
- Unsplash — for deck cover images you can search
- Analytics — to understand how people use Stuqy so we can improve it
These services have their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data needed for them to work.
Stuqy AI
When you use AI to generate flashcards, your prompts are processed to create relevant cards. We don't use your prompts to train AI models or share them with anyone.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Nothing sketchy, just the basics.
Your Controls
- Delete your decks — anytime from your profile
- Make decks private — toggle visibility in deck settings
- Delete your account — contact us and we'll remove everything
Updates
If we change this policy significantly, we'll let you know. For minor tweaks, we'll update this page.
